Phase II SBIR/STTR Awardees - APPLY by August 24
The NIH Commercialization
Accelerator Program (CAP) is designed to help HHS SBIR and STTR Phase II awardees
transition their SBIR and STTR developed products into the marketplace. The CAP
helps small businesses evaluate their commercialization options based on their
specific technologies (including the need and prospect for investment,
strategic partnerships, or licensing) and helps them develop a solid
market-entry plan covering an 18-month period.

Additionally, NIH encourages investigators to use interim research products, such as preprints, to speed the dissemination and enhance the rigor of their work. Notice NOT-OD-17-050 clarifies reporting instructions to allow investigators to cite their interim research products and claim them as products of NIH funding.
