NCI PREVENT Cancer Program – Research Support Opportunity in Cancer Prevention & Interception: Applications Due July 8, 2024

The NCI PREVENT Cancer Preclinical Drug Development Program (PREVENT) is a peer-reviewed program that supports the preclinical development of innovative interventions and predictive biomarkers for cancer prevention and interception towards clinical applications in high-risk populations.
Researchers from academia, industry, non-profits, and government with innovative ideas in precision cancer prevention are encouraged to apply.

Notice of Special Interest (NOSI): Administrative Supplement for Natural History and Longitudinal Dynamics of Lung Nodules Using the NLST Dataset
This NOSI aims to examine the natural history of lung nodules using cancer data from the National Lung Screening Trial (NLST) low-dose CT scan datasets. NCI encourages current NCI grant or cooperative agreement awardees interested in analyzing lung nodules over time to help define and improve the identification of benign, pre-cancerous, and cancerous lung nodules, to apply.
Submissions must be received by July 8, 2024, at 5:00 p.m. local time of applicant organization for FY 2024 funding.

Call For Nominations – Early Career Scientist Opportunity
The NCI Division of Cancer Prevention (DCP) has issued a call for nominations to feature early career scientists conducting research within the mission of the Division.
Selected investigators will be featured on DCP’s website and social media and will be invited to present their research to the broad NCI community through the DCP Early Career Scientist Spotlight Research Seminar Series. The overall goal is to increase visibility and provide recognition to early career scientists conducting research within the areas supported by DCP.
Nominations are due by Sunday, June 30, 2024.
