NCI is hosting a series of virtual workshops to ideate and explore transformative research ideas and catalyze new research directions towards sustainable solutions for cancer health disparities (CHD). These workshops will bring together participants from diverse sectors of society to collaboratively explore unique research opportunities that are best addressed by advancing new approaches that cut across disciplines. They will consider how to tackle the complex nature of CHD and accelerate progress towards equity in cancer control for all populations, both locally and globally.

NCI invites applications from investigators interested in conducting basic, mechanistic research into the biological/genetic causes of cancer health disparities. These research project grants (R01) will support innovative studies designed to investigate biological/genetic bases of cancer health disparities.
