Laying the foundation for big changes: construction work strengthens hospital infrastructure

Orange cones, new traffic patterns and heavy equipment are circling the NIH Clinical Center and the entire NIH campus.

NIH's Office of Research Facilities (ORF) has started work on new projects: relocating critical infrastructure, the construction of a new parking garage and the addition of a Surgery, Radiology and Laboratory Medicine (SRLM) wing attached to the northwest side of the hospital. Full story

 

New game introduces youngest patients to the Clinical Center

Treasure Tour Game

The NIH Clinical Center is giving its patients the chance to "level up" with a new app.

The Clinical Center launched a free game application called Treasure Tour. The app is aimed at children, teens and their families to better help them understand the layout of the hospital, the programs and services offered onsite and the procedures and tests patients might undergo. Full story

 

Staff scientists awarded honorific titles

Six Staff Scientists received the honorific titles of Senior Associate Scientist and Associate Scientist due to their national or international expertise, scientific or scholarly contributions of major significance or their special knowledge and skills which benefit NIH. Full story
