The National Institutes of Health’s All of Us Research Program has selected Geoffrey Ginsburg, MD, PhD, to serve as its next chief medical and scientific officer. He will be responsible for helping to set the scientific vision for the program and chart the integration of new data types to support a wide range of research discoveries.
Dr. Ginsburg is joining the program from Duke University School of Medicine’s Center for Applied Genomics & Precision Medicine. He also held roles as a professor in the School of Medicine, School of Engineering, and the School of Nursing.
At All of Us, Dr. Ginsburg will lead the Division of Medical and Scientific Research starting in January 2022. He will work with diverse stakeholders to develop and implement the program’s scientific vision and strategy. His team will map an agenda to inform the overall protocol roadmap and data science strategy, that includes identifying and integrating new data streams, building and maintaining collaborations with local, national and international partners and studies, and ensuring the availability of high-quality health data for the research community.
