COVID-19 and Women’s Health
Since March 11 of this year, when the respiratory illness coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) outbreak was declared a pandemic, more than 700,000 people have died. Johns Hopkins University estimates that as of August 20, 2020, there have been more than 22 million confirmed COVID-19 cases worldwide—with more than 173,000 deaths and over 5 million cases in the United States.
