FIET Hypercare Weekly Digest - Week 5
👋Welcome back to the FIET Hypercare Weekly Digest! This forum provides key updates, tips and tricks, and common questions about the new FMMI system for the first six weeks following go-live.
This week, we’re covering Business Partner Records and the Manage Journal Entries transaction. Read on for details!
As we stabilize the new environment, please continue to submit your questions and issues to the FMS Help Desk.
Business Partner Records ☂️
The launch of S/4HANA has introduced Business Partner Records to FMMI. Business Partner Records serve as an umbrella that captures data for customer and vendor records. Users now view Business Partner Records for information on customers and vendors, and customer and vendor data is captured and maintained together. Here are the key things to know about Business Partner Records:
-
Business Partner – A Business Partner (BP) can be a customer, a vendor, or both. For customers, the BP number and customer number are different; the BP number is within the vendor number range. For vendors, the BP number and vendor number are the same.
-
PVND Process – The Customer & Vendor Master Data Team maintains the PVND process so that data flows down from the BP level to customers and vendors.
-
Business Relationships – BPs provide a more coherent view of business relationships, as a single entity can play both customer and vendor roles.
Manage Journal Entries ✍️
The new Manage Journal Entries transaction allows users to reset journal entries due to incorrect postings. Within the transaction, documents are now listed out so that users do not have to search by document number. Please note that only those with appropriate security permissions will have access to Manage Journal Entries.
For details on using the Manage Journal Entries transaction, go to FMMI Online Help, then click User Support by Material Type > Online Help Procedures > General Ledger > Fiori General Ledger > Manage Journal Entries – Reverse.
Grantor and GRC Reminder 📢 Continue to access Grantor and Governance Risk & Compliance (GRC) via Portal, the same way you accessed them before the FMMI upgrade. All other transactions are now located in Fiori.
Where to Go for Support ⚙️ Take advantage of resources available in FMMI Online Help and the FIET Webpage.
