Laura Gotkowitz discusses European refugees from Nazism in Bolivia and Latin America on Thursday, September 26 at 12 p.m. in the Woodrow Wilson room (LJ-113) at the Library of Congress. The event is co-sponsored by the Library’s John W. Kluge Center and the Hispanic Division.

Gotkowitz was a scholar-in-residence at the Kluge Center from September 2012 to May 2013 through the American Council of Learned Societies Frederick Burkhardt Residential Fellowship. Her research investigated political violence and democracy in Bolivia after World War II. She is currently an Associate Professor of History at the University of Pittsburgh.
