Free Single Day Civil War Teacher Workshops at the Library of Congress

Want to share first hand accounts of the war from a wide array of voices on the Union and Confederate sides of the conflict? Register to attend the Library of Congress “The Civil War in America Teacher Workshop.” Participants will leave with strategies and links to primary sources they can use in their schools. This workshop uses the Library's exhibit The Civil War in America as its foundation. Learn how to make this era in history come alive for student using letters and diaries, photographs and prints, maps, and newspapers and other printed accounts produced during the Civil War.
The workshops will be offered on the following dates:
Friday, October 25, 2013; 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday, October 26, 2013; 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Friday, November 1, 2013; 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Saturday, November 2, 2013; 8:30 am. to 3 pm.
