Copyright Royalty Judges Announce Commencement of a Proceeding to Adjust Cable Statutory License Royalty Rates (Cable Rates 2025-29)
The Copyright Royalty Judges announce the commencement of a proceeding to adjust the rates for the cable statutory license described in section 111 of the Copyright Act for the period beginning January 1, 2025, and ending December 31, 2029. Parties who wish to participate in the proceeding must file their Petition to Participate and pay the $150 filing fee no later than January 27, 2025. For more information, click here.

CALENDAR
January 21, 2025: Comments and objections, if any, due on proposed rates and terms for the digital performance of sound recordings by new subscription services and for the making of ephemeral copies necessary to facilitate those performances for the period from January 1, 2026, through December 31, 2030. January 27, 2025: Petitions to Participate and accompanying $150 filing fee due for the proceeding to adjust the rates for the cable statutory license described in section 111 of the Copyright Act (Cable rates 2025-29). (89 FR 105635).
