Copyright Royalty Judges Welcome Supervisory Attorney
The Copyright Royalty Board has welcomed Mary Ann McGrail to our office as a supervisory attorney. Dr. McGrail’s background includes a strong commitment to the law, and to intellectual property in particular. She holds leadership roles in organizations devoted to international humanitarian law, and international law with the D.C. Bar, the American Society of International Law, and the American Red Cross. While at the University of Virginia (MA, JD), she received an Olin Fellowship for Law and Economics. In 2020, she received the G. Hamilton Loeb Award from the Washington Area Lawyers for the Arts in recognition of her exceptional pro bono legal service to the creative community in D.C. She is a member of the bars of the District of Columbia, Maryland, and New York, and the Supreme Court bar. Ms. McGrail holds a Ph.D. in English literature from Harvard University.
