This position serves as a Cataloging and Metadata Librarian for the Technical Services Section of the Knowledge Services Group (KSG) of the Congressional Research Service (CRS). In this capacity the incumbent is responsible for original cataloging and preparing bibliographic records and/or metadata to represent the information and research resources in the CRS collections, including elements such as description, subject analysis, access to content, authority control, quality control, metadata application, and metadata­ related decision making, i.e., the determination of which metadata standard to use.
