Public Affairs Specialist (Vacancy#:DIR2023-1)

The Congressional Research Service, Congressional Programs and Communications Office is seeking two Public Affairs Specialists. This is a 6-month appointment with the possibility of an extension(s) not to exceed 10 months. This position will be filled at the GS-09 or GS-11 levels.

The Public Affairs Specialist takes lead responsibility for ensuring logistical and administrative support necessary to deliver programs, seminars, and events for Members, committees, and staff of the U.S. Congress. The position also assists the office head with major programs and services related to congressional client education and outreach.
