Poetry & Literature: News & Events:A New Laureate Poem for the National Climate Assessment

The Library of Congress is pleased to announce that Ada Limón, our 24th Poet Laureate Consultant in Poetry, has written a commissioned poem titled "Startlement" for the just-released Fifth National Climate Assessment (NCA5).

Congratulations to all who worked on the report, and thanks to NCA5 Director Allison Crimmins for including poetry for the first time in the report's history—and by the nation's poet.
