Senior Financial Systems Analyst (Financial Systems Division)

The Library of Congress is accepting applications for a Senior Financial Systems Analyst, GS-14, until October 9, 2023.

This position is located in the Financial Systems Division, Financial Services Directorate, Chief Operating Officer.

Serves as a Senior Financial Systems Analyst performing professional analyst work relating to the financial activities of the Financial Systems Office within the Office of the Chief Financial Officer (OCFO). The work requires the design and adaptation of automated financial management systems and/or financial reporting systems. In addition, the incumbent renders financial advice and assistance to management.

The Financial Systems Office, headed by the Financial Systems Officer, is responsible for all accounting, reporting, and related internal control aspects of the Library's central financial system. The office coordinates the development and implementation of the central financial systems including budget execution, financial reports and interfaces with subsidiary and program systems. The Office administers the security access controls to the central financial system. The Office works with the Service Units to define accounting, transaction processing, reporting requirements for the central financial system. The office is also responsible for maintaining the central financial system and ensuring compliance with the Library's financial systems standards. The Office evaluates the impact of new legislation, regulations and instructions, and implements the necessary changes.
