A new year is a great time to branch out and try something new. This week we're challenging you to try a new activity on the By the People site. If you normally transcribe, try out review. If you're normally a reviewer, try your hand at transcribing. Experiment with our new image adjustment features to figure out some of the most challenging pages on the site. Here are some places to start:

Help By the People improve its site-sign up to be a tester!

We rolled out some design changes in December 2022 and we want your feedback. We're recruiting By the People volunteers for 12 testing slots in February. We're looking for people who have a wide range of experience-from those who just started volunteering to those who volunteer regularly! The only requirements are that you have a registered user account and access to a desktop computer for the testing session.

Please use the form to state your preferences for one-hour online user testing time slots. We will be conducting the tests remotely via a video call. All times given are for the Eastern Time Zone (US).

We will schedule testers on a first-come-first-served basis so we may not end up reaching out to you if our time slots fill up. We appreciate your generosity and eagerness to help!

Warmly,

Abby & the By the People team
