The Library of Congress is accepting applications for a Supervisory Computer/Electronics Engineer, GS-14, until October 19, 2022.
The position is located in the Channel Design and Deployment Section (CDD), Program Delivery Division (PDD), in the National Library Service for the Blind and Print Disabled (NLS) within the Library Collections and Services Group (LCSG) at the Library of Congress (LOC).
The incumbent serves as the Head, CDD, and works under the technical and administrative supervision of the Chief, PDD. The incumbent supervises CDD personnel and is responsible for supervising section staff up to GS-14; and oversight of research, development, integration, deployment, operations and lifecycle management of critical NLS products and delivery channels. These may include embedded systems, mobile applications, and web/cloud based applications for searching, browsing, and playback of NLS talking books, electronic braille displays, and other specialized systems for delivery and/or distribution of NLS content.
