This report examines the Constitutions of Portugal and Romania and other legal frameworks in each country. The Portuguese Constitution recognizes that everyone has the right to privacy and legal protection against discrimination. The rights to freedom of expression, assembly, association, and of the press are also protected by the Constitution. The Constitution of Romania recognizes and protects the right of access to public information, freedom of expression, freedom of the press, freedom of assembly and association, freedom of religion, and the right to privacy.
