COPYRIGHT ROYALTY JUDGES RELEASE PUBLIC VERSION OF FINAL DETERMINATION IN WEB V PROCEEDING
On September 20, the Copyright Royalty Judges issued the public version of the final determination for webcasting royalty rates and terms in the Web V rate-setting proceeding for the years 2021–2025. The determination sets royalty rates and terms for webcasters streaming sound recordings from 2021 through 2025. The text is redacted to remove confidential information. The public version is available here.
The Register closed her review of the Judges’ final determination with no finding of legal error in resolving a material issue of substantive copyright law. The Librarian of Congress will cause the Judges’ final determination to be published in the Federal Register.
