Join the Law Library of Congress to Celebrate Law Day on April 29th

The Law Library of Congress and the American Bar Association will present the Law Day 2021 program, “Advancing the Rule of Law Now: A Global Perspective,” this Thursday at 3:30 p.m. ET. This event will be presented as online program. Please click here to register.

Law Day is a national day set aside to celebrate the rule of law and an opportunity to understand how law and the legal process protect liberty and promote justice. The theme of Law Day for this year is “Advancing the Rule of Law Now.” This year’s program will explore the rule of law from an international perspective; specifically, how the United States contributes to global understandings of the rule of law, including through funding of rule of law projects, championing rule of law principles in international entities and settings, and cultivating an image as a rule of law country both at home and abroad.

The panel will be moderated by Executive Director of the World Justice Project Elizabeth Andersen. She will be joined by Former Deputy Prime Minister of Georgia and Former Ambassador for Georgia to the United States Temuri Yakobashvili, Senior Fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace Ashley Quarcoo, and Law Library of Congress Senior Foreign Law Specialist Jenny Gesley. We hope you can join us.
