COPYRIGHT ROYALTY JUDGES COMMENCE PROCEEDING TO DETERMINE RATES AND TERMS FOR MAKING OF EPHEMERAL RECORDINGS TO BE TRANSMITTED BY ENTITIES THAT DELIVER SOUND RECORDINGS TO BUSINESS ESTABLISHMENTS (77 FR 133)
The Copyright Royalty Judges have commenced a proceeding to determine reasonable rates and terms for the making of ephemeral recordings of sound recordings meant for later transmission by entities that transmit performances of sound recordings to business establishments. In addition, the judges have set February 2, 2012, as the date by which those who wish to participate in the proceeding must file a petition to participate and a filing fee. January 26, 2012: Due date for objections and comments regarding further distribution of 2004–09 cable and satellite royalties (76 FR 80969).
February 2, 2012: Deadline for submission of petitions to participate in rate proceeding for making of ephemeral recordings to be transmitted by entities that deliver sound recordings to business establishments (77 FR 133).
