Copyright Royalty Judges Announce Proposed Regulations Regarding Procedures for Determination and Allocation of Assessment to Fund Mechanical Licensing Collective and Other Amendments Required by the Orrin G. Hatch–Bob Goodlatte Music Modernization Act
The Copyright Royalty Judges (Judges) propose regulations governing proceedings to determine the reasonableness of and to allocate responsibility to fund the operating budget of the Mechanical Licensing Collective authorized by the Music Modernization Act (MMA). The Judges also propose amendments to extant rules as required by the MMA. The Judges solicit comments, due April 12, 2019, on the proposed rules. For details, click here.
