COPYRIGHT ROYALTY JUDGES ANNOUNCE COST-OF-LIVING ADJUSTMENT IN ROYALTY RATES PAID BY SATELLITE CARRIERS (76 FR 74703)

The Copyright Royalty Judges announce a cost-of-living adjustment of 3.5 percent in the royalty rates paid by satellite carriers under the satellite carrier compulsory license of the Copyright Act. The adjustment, which takes effect January 1, 2012, is based on the change in the Consumer Price Index from October 2010 to October 2011.
