COPYRIGHT ROYALTY JUDGES ANNOUNCE ZERO PERCENT COST-OF-LIVING ADJUSTMENT TO ROYALTY RATES UNDER WEBCASTER STATUTORY LICENSE (81 FR 87455)
The Copyright Royalty Judges announce a zero percent cost-of-living adjustment in the royalty rates that commercial and noncommercial noninteractive webcasters pay under sections 112 and 114 of the Copyright Act for eligible transmissions of sound recordings and the making of ephemeral recordings to facilitate those transmissions. January 1, 2017: Effective date for cost-of-living adjustment in royalty rates for performance of musical compositions by colleges and universities (81 FR 84478).
January 1, 2017: Effective date for cost-of-living adjustment in royalty rates under satellite statutory license (81 FR 84478).
January 1, 2017: Effective date for calendar year 2017 royalty rates under webcaster statutory license (81 FR 87455).
