COPYRIGHT ROYALTY JUDGES ANNOUNCE PROPOSED CABLE ROYALTY RATES FOR 2015-19 AND SEEK COMMENTS (81 FR 24523)
Today, the Copyright Royalty Judges announce a proposed rule establishing cable royalty rates for the years 2015–19. In addition, they are soliciting comments on a motion by settling participants to accept the rates as reflected in the proposed rule as a partial settlement of the proceeding. Specifically, the judges seek to ascertain whether any interested claimant has a reasonable objection to the proposed rule. The judges must receive written submissions detailing the existence and extent of any objections no later than May 17, 2016. The proposed rule is available here.
