End of Fiscal Year - We Need Your Feedback
As the U.S. Government's annual fiscal cycle draws to a close, we are in harvesting mode to capture and document any export successes from the previous year/s, noting that the international sales cycle can be lengthy. Congress requires that we document feedback from the U.S. business community in order to demonstrate the value we provide.
What that means is that we need your feedback to continue our mission! For those of you that we have worked with over the past years, please let us know how our services have assisted you (and also how we can improve). Kindly reach out to your industry Trade Specialist or visit our Exporter Feedback Form where you can share your latest export success, challenge, lesson learned, or other anecdote.
Remember, export success can come in many forms. Scroll to the bottom of this newsletter to learn more.

Strategies for Rural Small Business Growth & Expansion - Virtual
September 24, 2024 Register
For our purposes, export successes can come in various forms. Here are a few examples:
- Initial or increased sales of a U.S. product or service to a
foreign entity and the product/service is of U.S. origin or meets the 51% U.S. content criteria.
- A signed commercial agreement (distribution, wholesale, franchise, or joint venture) with a foreign entity to export U.S. products/services.
- Establishment of a physical presence overseas (excluding manufacturing facilities) to export U.S. products/services.
- Avoidance of harm – protecting a U.S. client from a deliberate fraudulent attempt by a foreign entity to embezzle funds from the client
- Cross-border exports from online sales channels and/or increased international website visitors that transformed into interested foreign buyers.
- Other outcomes that directly contribute to increased export revenue, foreign market share, and attributable U.S. job creation.
However, other incremental steps along the exporting journey which serve as milestones in the business development cycle may be considered as well. Examples may include obtaining licenses, navigating trade barriers successfully, or deeper understanding of regulations in a foreign market. Contact us today to discuss!
As noted at the top of this newsletter, we want to hear about your export successes, but we also encourage feedback of any sort! Please reach out to your local Trade Specialist today, or take two minutes of your time to leave a comment on the Washington Exporter Feedback Form
