Are you free in May 2025? SelectUSA invites members of the foreign direct investment (FDI) community to propose qualified speakers, judges, and topics for the 2025 Investment Summit which will include plenary sessions for all attendees, programming for economic development organizations, international companies, and technology startups. All selected speakers will receive an official invitation and confirmation from SelectUSA in early 2025!

This Week Online
On X: Under Secretary Lago and Sweden’s Deputy Prime Minister, Ebba Busch, met to discuss opportunities to strengthen U.S.-SE bilateral cooperation on green energy, particularly nuclear energy.
 On Instagram: Last week, we strengthened our commercial ties with Nigeria through a new MOU and a joint statement on shared digital priorities. With the largest population and largest democracy in Africa, Nigeria is an essential commercial partner for the United States.
 On LinkedIn: Last week, Under Secretary Lago concluded her trip to Romania and Ukraine. In Romania, she attended the Fifth Meeting of the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy and Climate Cooperation (P-TECC) as part of the U.S. delegation led by the U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm. Through several engagements at the Business Forum, she underscored the U.S. Department of Commerce's commitment to supporting Europe's energy security and the U.S. private sector's role in advancing climate solutions and clean technologies to combat global climate change. In Ukraine, Under Secretary Lago met with local business leaders and government officials to underscore U.S. solidarity with Ukraine and the Department's commitment to continuing trade and business engagement.
