France has about 200 companies operating in the additive manufacturing field, 60 R&D centers, and 40 clusters and innovation center laboratories. As a result, ranks 4th in the additive manufacturing sector after Germany, Italy, and the U.K and is the 3rd most innovative European country in terms of filing additive manufacturing patents. Additionally, France invested $60 million in additive manufacturing R&D in 2021 and has a national plan to support the economic development of the industry.

As we prepare to celebrate World Trade Month this coming May, U.S. Federal export promotion agencies continue to collaborate with the National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) to gather advice and insight from experienced exporters.

If you are currently exporting, or have in the past, we invite you to submit a short video clip to share your lessons learned with small and medium-sized business manufacturers with global market aspirations. You could be featured on the NAM’s Exporting to Markets Around the World website or in social media postings of from Federal export promotion agencies during May's World Trade Month.
