Now Accepting Nominations for the 2022-2024 Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee
The Secretary of Commerce invites interested organizations to submit membership nominations to the 2022-2024 charter of the Environmental Technologies Trade Advisory Committee (ETTAC). The ETTAC advises on the development and administration of programs to expand U.S. exports of environmental technologies, goods, and services that comply with United States environmental, safety, and related requirements.
Nominations for membership should be submitted to the ETTAC Designated Federal Officer, Megan Hyndman, at Megan.Hyndman@trade.gov, on or before 5:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on October 14, 2022. More details about the application process and Committee responsibilities is included in the Federal Register Notice.

Middle East Clean Tech Trade Mission | March 12-17, 2023 | Saudi Arabia, UAE, Israel, and Qatar
The United States Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA), is organizing an Executive-Led Clean Tech Trade Mission on March 12-17, 2023 to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Dubai and Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, Tel Aviv, Israel, with an optional stop in Qatar*.
The executive-led trade mission will introduce U.S. companies and trade associations to the United States’ largest trading partners and four of the largest economies in the Middle East, all of whose governments are investing heavily in Clean Tech. This trade mission will include:
- Customized one-on-one business appointments with pre-screened potential buyers, agents, distributors, and joint venture partners
- Meetings with industry leaders
- Meetings with government officials
- Networking events
- Market briefings
- Site Visits

Guide to Doing Business with the Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs)
The U.S. Department of Commerce’s (USDOC) International Trade Administration (ITA) has a Liaison Officer stationed at five different Multilateral Development Banks (MDBs): the African Development Bank; the Asian Development Bank; the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development; the Inter-American Development Bank; and the World Bank. The MDB program resides in the USDOC’s Advocacy Center and is led by the Senior Commercial Liaison at the World Bank. Each MDB differs from the other in its geographic coverage, emphasis on public vs private projects, and overall development goals. This guide is a fantastic resource for U.S. companies wishing to learn more about how to do business with the MDBs, which lend billions of dollars each year in developing countries.
