HIGHLIGHT - Your Success is Our Success!!

Aquatech social

We are excited to share examples of how we work with companies to help them prepare to enter or navigate a new market. This month we highlight Aquatech from Pennsylvania.

Aquatech, a producer of water treatment technologies, was close to securing a contract for a $73 million wastewater project in Indonesia and needed to quickly vet two local partners before moving forward with the project. The company contacted the U.S. Commercial Service Pittsburgh office to assist with background checks on the two Indonesian firms. Despite the challenging environment due to the global pandemic, the U.S. Commercial Service was able to meet the time-sensitive request and delivered International Company Profiles on both firms.

The Profiles provided Aquatech with information on the Indonesian companies’ business operations, background, reputation, key officials and more, and enabled Aquatech to move forward with the project. In early 2021, Aquatech announced that it had won the Indonesian desalination project contract.

“Aquatech International leverages the U.S. Commercial Service to support our global export initiatives,” said Jim Matharu, SVP Enterprise Services Division. “They are my go-to resource when we need assistance in any country as they provide excellent assistance. The support for this Indonesian project was critical to conclude a major deal, and it was done under tight time constraints and in difficult circumstances during the early part of the pandemic.”
