This US Department of Commerce event will enable U.S. companies to explore sales channels and the project pipeline in the civil aviation, defense, and security sectors across the Indo-Pacific region. As part of the commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific, DOC issued a Federal Register notice seeking individual comments from industry on government programs to inform the catalyzation of U.S. private sector participation in commercial opportunities in the Indo-Pacific region in infrastructure. December 5, 2018: The Latest IP Issues Relating to International Trade- Chicago
Luncheon program hosted by the International Trade Association of Greater Chicago. April 30, 2019: STOPfakes.gov Roadshow – Chicago
SAVE THE DATE. Stopfakes.gov Roadshows deliver critical information about intellectual property to audiences that need it most -- start-ups, entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized businesses, independent creators, and inventors. The information is presented by experts from multiple government agencies whose missions advance stakeholders' intellectual property interests. Participants will receive information on a range of topics, including identifying and protecting the various intellectual property assets; mechanisms for obtaining IP protection in overseas markets; strategies for determining where to seek protection; and the value of copyright and trade secrets protection to their businesses. Presentations will also address how to combat counterfeits on international e-commerce sites and what additional government resources are available to help U.S. business bolster intellectual property protections.
December 11, 2018 @ 10:00am CST: RoHS – Current Issues that Impact U.S. Exporters – Webinar
Companies selling electrical and electronic goods in the European Union must conform to the EU legislation for electrical and electronic equipment, which includes RoHS. A Consultation on RoHS substance methodology and the inventory of RoHS candidates was recently launched, so this is an ideal time for industry to provide their input – deadline to submit comments is December 21. Companies participating in the webinar will hear from experts from EPPA, a specialist management consultancy that helps clients manage alignment between business and EU institutions and government, and the U.S. Commercial Service at the U.S. Mission to the EU. The United States Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration is organizing this trade mission to Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Bolivia and Chile (Southern Cone Region) that will include the Trade Americas – Business Opportunities in the Southern Cone Region Conference in Buenos Aires, Argentina. May 14-17, 2019: Corporate Executive Office (CEO) Program at China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF)
U.S. Commercial Service is offering an opportunity for companies to participate as exhibitors in the Corporate Executive Office (CEO) Program at the upcoming China International Medical Equipment Fair (CMEF) in Shanghai, China, May 2019.
