As we head into the Holiday Season, we hope you are wrapping up a highly successful and productive 2017.  The U.S. Commercial Service's Environmental Technologies Team is always here as a resource to support U.S. exporters with your international business development objectives.  If you aren't currently working with a member of our team, please contact your local Trade Specialist in one of our U.S. Export Assistance Centers to engage with us today!

Recently, Environmental Technology Team members from across the U.S. and around the globe supported U.S. exhibitors at WEFTEC in Chicago.  The Team led more than 400 international buyer delegates from 20 countries to the show and provided on-site actionable market intelligence and counseling to better position U.S. companies to succeed globally.  We held a number of value-added services designed to connect U.S. exhibitors to international buyers and opportunities. If you were there and missed us, or plan to be there in 2018, please let your local Trade Specialist know so we can help connect you to future opportunities.

Upcoming Domestic and International Trade Events

Event: U.S. Environmental Technical Workshop at Environment Protection Annual Meeting 
Location: Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, China
Date: November 22-23, 2017
Description: Zhejiang has been ranked top 5 in China in terms of GDP volume.   Zhejiang has vigorous private manufacturing capacity and has boasted a majority market share of China's machinery, plastics, battery, automobile and petrochemical industry for over 30 years.  Now the province and its cities are facing the challenge of  industry upgrade to meet new stringent water and air discharge standards. Local governments have requested that local major manufacturers install water and air treatment facilities, and these manufacturers need guidance and support to find suitable technology to treat their waste water, sludge and polluted air & soil. The Zhejiang government has shown a strong commitment to working with the U.S. government and U.S. companies to improve its comprehensive environment situation, and will ensure that local listed environmental companies that are open to collaboration with U.S. firms will also be in attendance.

Event: U.S. Environmental Roadshow in East China
Location: Shaoxing and Jiaxing, China
Date: March 2018
DescriptionShaoxing and Jiaxing are two  vigorous cities well-known for their textile industry. Now they are facing the challenge to curb their water pollution and upgrade their productivity.  An Industry waste water treatment seminar is scheduled in both cities. The workshop will target end users and local engineering companies.   Site visits and one on one matchmaking will be arranged upon requests

Event: U.S. Maritime Technology Export Initiative 
Location: Various, includes shows in London and a trade mission across Southern Europe
Date: March 13-23,  2018
DescriptionITA is supporting a number of trade promotion activities through the U.S. Maritime Technology Export Initiative as part of a three-year Market Development Cooperator Program (MDCP) award with The Maritime Alliance (2017-2019). 2018 activities include exhibiting at Oceanology International in London, with an optional trade mission to Paris, Rome, Marseille, Canary Islands, and Lisbon following Oceanology International. Each trade event will include B2B matchmaking and other export promotion services organized by ITA and The Maritime Alliance (TMA). Target participants include small to medium-sized companies active in the desalination and water treatment sectors, among others.

Event: WasteExpo 2018
Location: Las Vegas, NV
Date: April 24-27, 2018
Description: This is an International Buyer Program (IBP) Show and will feature significant support from the Global Environmental Technologies Team. WasteExpo is the largest tradeshow in North America serving the $85 billion solid waste and recycling markets.  The WasteExpo conference program runs from April 23-27, 2018 and the exhibition is open from April 24-27, 2018.  The event serves the entire waste and recycling industries – private sector, public sector and waste management professionals from all industries.  WasteExpo combines industry education with an exhibition that highlights industry products and services for buyers from around the world.
