5th Year in a Row: U.S. Tops A.T. Kearney Foreign Direct Investment Confidence Index

SelectUSA was thrilled to hear the great news from A.T. Kearney this morning: for the fifth year in a row, the United States topped the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Confidence Index!

This is a direct reflection of the appeal of the U.S. economy and how it enables businesses of all sizes to access the largest consumer market in the world, employ a productive workforce, and take advantage of an entrepreneurial culture that promotes innovation.

"This streak ties with the longest prior run that the United States had at the top of the Index (ending in 2001), and likely reflects the enduring attractiveness of the U.S. market in terms of sheer size and relatively open regulatory environment for foreign investment."
