China Permits U.S. Firms to Shape Draft Cybersecurity Law

Summary: Commerce, State, USTR and Treasury have consistently engaged high-level Chinese officials on their development of new cybersecurity laws that may hurt U.S. business interests. In an effort to assuage concerns, China agreed to let Microsoft, Intel, Cisco and other U.S. firms to participate in a key government committee that will review this draft law.
