Sept.13-15 Complying with U.S. Export Controls (Milpitas) U.S. Department of Commerce "E" Award WinnersU.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker honored the following Northern California exporters during the 2016 President’s “E” Awards ceremony on May 16, 2016, in Washington, DC:
The President’s “E” Award is the highest recognition any U.S. entity can receive for making a significant contribution to the expansion of U.S. exports. In 1961, President Kennedy signed an executive order reviving the World War II “E” symbol of excellence to honor and provide recognition to America's exporters. These honorees have helped contribute to the United States’ exporting $2.23 trillion worth of goods and services in 2015, and the estimated 11.5 million American jobs supported by exports.
American companies are nominated for “E” Awards through the U.S. Commercial Service’s network of offices throughout the United States. Record years of successive export growth and an applicant’s demonstration of an innovative international marketing plan that led to the increase in exports is a significant factor in selecting the overall winners. Welcome to the Newly Installed Members of the Northern California District Export CouncilThe following members of the Northern California District Export Council (DEC) were presented with certificates on May 18, 2016 confirming their appointment to the DEC:
