Obama to Attend Hannover Messe– USA is Partner Country- April 25-29, 2016 -

Each year, the US Small Business
Administration selects state, regional and national award winners for its
National Small Business Week Awards, which will be announced May 1-7, 2016. To
nominate your small business or another business for the Illinois Small

U.S. Export-Import Bank Reauthorized
As of
Friday, December 4, 2015, Ex-Im Bank is once more fully authorized and can restart the work needed to meet its mission of supporting
American jobs and equipping American businesses with the tools necessary to
compete for global sales. Importantly, the Bank secured a long-term
reauthorization that will be in effect until September 30, 2019. Current and new client companies are

Mexico Infrastructure Projects Webpage
CS Mexico is moving the
Department of Commerce’s Infrastructure Initiative forward with the launch of
the Mexico Infrastructure Projects Webpage highlighting 54 projects in the
aviation/airports, energy & power, and water/wastewater
sectors. Project information is updated regularly, and the site
allows clients to get in touch with Commercial Specialists for information.

27, 2016: International Business Roundtable - Chicago
The
Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce is hosting an in-depth roundtable discussion on
the state of international business in Chicago with international business
leaders from the Chicago Council on Global Affairs, Choose Chicago, U.S.
Commercial Service and World Business Chicago. The expert panelists will cover
topics such as foreign policy and its effect on Chicago’s business climate,
global tourism and visiting delegations from around the world, trade
agreements, and opportunities with our International Sister Cities. This event
will be held at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce, 410 North Michigan Avenue,

Doing Business in Africa workshop series brings government and business leaders
in trade and investment to Governors State University, located in University

23-28, 2016: Healthcare Technology and eHealth Services trade Mission to Saudi
Arabia and Kuwait
The
U.S. Department of Commerce, along with the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and
organizers of Saudi-American Healthcare Forum, are organizing this trade
mission to Riyadh and Jeddah in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Kuwait City,
Kuwait. The mission is timed to take place during the Saudi-American Healthcare
Forum, an exclusive event dedicated to building new relationships, fostering
existing partnerships, and exchanging best practices between the United States
and the Middle East. Cost: $3,740 for small and medium-sized enterprises (fewer

2-5, 2016: Education Trade Mission to
Central America
The
United States Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration, is
organizing an education mission to Panama and Honduras, with an optional stop
in Guatemala. Department of Commerce is partnering with the Department of
State’s EducationUSA Advising Centers and each stop will include a student
fair, customized appointments for each institution as well as site visits and
networking opportunities. The education mission’s emphasis will be on U.S.
higher education, focusing on, community colleges, intensive ESL programs,
summer programs, and undergraduate and graduate programs. Please see

16-24, 2016: Cybersecurity Trade Mission to Japan, South Korea, & Taiwan
The
U.S. Department of Commerce is organizing an Executive-led Cyber-security
Business Development Mission to Japan, South Korea and Taiwan. This mission is
meant to introduce U.S. firms and trade associations to East Asia’s information
and communication technology security and critical infrastructure protection
markets, as well as to assist U.S. companies in finding business partners and
exporting their products and services to the region. Cost: $4,400 for small and
medium-sized enterprises (fewer than 500 employees), $5,800 for large firms,

14-22, 2016: Water Infrastructure Trade Mission to Singapore, Vietnam, & the
Philippines
Organized
by the U.S. Department of Commerce International Trade Administration, this
mission will introduce U.S. firms to rapidly expanding water infrastructure
markets in Singapore, Vietnam, and the Philippines. These countries are all
member states of the association of Southeast Asian nations (ASEAN), a region
that received over $78 billion of merchandise exports from the United States in
2014. The mission will provide U.S. companies the opportunity to gain insights,
make industry contacts, solidify business strategies, and advance specific
technologies. There are opportunities in all areas of water infrastructure,
including: advanced filtration, operation services, and waste to energy
technology. The mission will visit Singapore; Ho Chi Minh City, and Manila.
There will be customized one-on-one meetings and networking events with
government leaders, potential partners, distributors, and end users. Cost:
