BioJapan 2015 World Business Forum

Japan’s premier bio trade event, BioJapan 2015 will be held in Japan in October.  BioJapan is organized by “all-Japan” associations and entities such as Japan Bioindustry Association (JBA) and Japan Health Sciences Foundation, Forum for Innovative Regenerative Medicine.  CS Japan works closely with JBA and BioJapan to provide partnering services. Pre-registration of this service now opens, and the organizer expects over 8,000 partnering meetings this year with global and domestic key bio-industry players ranging from drug and drug discovery, chemicals, cosmetics and finance.  CS Japan will also maintain a business information booth to support U.S. exhibitors/visitors on site as well as promote CS services and other team events.

9th Sino-U.S. Symposium on Medicine: Big Data in Healthcare

Catalog Fair Partner Search at the Effective Hospital 2015 Conference

Effective hospital Conference is an annual event which attracts over 500 participants ranging from hospital directors, medical universities, key state institutions representatives and insurance companies to distributors. In 2015, the conference will celebrate its tenth edition. It will take place on November 24 – 25, 2015 at the Clarion Congress Hotel in Prague, Czech Republic. U.S. Commercial Service has been working with the conference organizer for several years. In 2015, we are launching a catalog fair partner search project at the conference for the first time. By participating in a catalogue fair the U.S. companies will receive: * Pre-conference outreach to Czech distributors. * Product information display at the Conference. * On-line promotion on U.S. Commercial Service web pages. * Results report from the outreach and conference collecting feedback on the product and potential partnership opportunities. * Post-show follow-up and market information.

2015 Taiwan International Medical Exhibition & Conference on Gerontology & Geriatric Care

Healthcare Technology & Hospital Information Services Trade Mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait

 The United States Department of Commerce, International Trade Administration (ITA), with support from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and organizers of the Saudi-American Healthcare Forum (SAHF) is organizing a Healthcare Technology & Hospital Information Services Trade Mission to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Kuwait from April 23 – 28, 2016. The mission is timed to take place during the Saudi-American Healthcare Forum (SAHF), an exclusive event dedicated to building new relationships, fostering existing partnerships, and exchanging best practices between the United States and the Middle East. The purpose of the mission is to introduce U.S. firms to the rapidly expanding healthcare sectors in these two countries and to assist U.S. companies in pursuing opportunities in this sector.

  • When: April 23-28, 2016
  • Where: Riyadh and Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and Kuwait City, Kuwait
  • Application deadline: The application deadline for this mission will be Friday, February 12, 2015. Applications received after the February 12th deadline will be considered as time and space permits.
  • Cost: $3,740 for small firms or medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), $4,470 for large companies, and $750 for each additional representative.

Country Spotlight: Turkey

Turkey has a population of 81 million people and is a growing market for medical technologies and healthcare services. The Ministry of Health (MOH) is the largest provider of healthcare and the only public provider of preventive services in Turkey. At a national level, MOH is responsible for the country’s health policy and health services. In fiscal year (FY) 2014, TL 18.6 Billion (approximately $9 billion) was allocated to the Ministry’s budget, which is an increase of 10% in TL terms compared to FY 2013. Turkish medical equipment market is approximately $3 billion and has been growing at the rate of 5-10% every year since 2002. 90% of the products used are imported.
