Publication 6961 is revised annually to update detailed calendar year projections of information and withholding documents to be filed at the US and campus levels. Projections are also available by submission method. The projections incorporate the latest changes in legal, regulatory, administrative, and recent filing experiences.

One data table, "Federal Excise Taxes or Fees Reported to or Collected by the Internal Revenue Service, Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau, and Customs Service, by Type of Excise Tax," has been updated to include Fiscal Year 2017 data and is now available on SOI's Tax Stats Web pages. Data are available beginning from Fiscal Year 1999.
