UDS+ Update
Thank you for submitting your annual Health Center Program Uniform Data System (UDS) report for Calendar Year 2024. We are in the process of reviewing these reports and preparing the annual data summaries. In addition, as part of the Calendar Year 2024 reporting requirements, HRSA had requested that health centers and look-alikes provide an additional UDS+ patient-level submission. After careful consideration, HRSA will be postponing this additional submission for this calendar year. We will keep you updated if there are additional changes or requests.
Payment Management System
On Friday, March 14, HHS’s Payment Management System (PMS) sent an email notification to all HHS grant recipients clarifying new process changes to all PMS) recipient users. HHS made these process changes to ensure alignment with Executive Order 14222: Implementing the President’s “Department of Government Efficiency” Cost Efficiency Initiative. Effective Monday, March 17, PMS introduced a new, mandatory justification field in the payment request screen at the subaccount level. HHS grant recipients are required to submit a descriptive justification – up to 1,000 characters – explaining the purpose of their requested payment.
Contacting BPHC
Please continue to utilize the Health Center Program Support as your primary point of contact with BPHC via the BPHC Contact Form or by calling (877) 464-4772. These points of contact should be used if you have questions regarding any supplemental or capital grants (including Congressionally Directed Spending), UDS data, programmatic reporting, or any other issues.
Access to Affordable Life-Saving Medications
On April 15, the Administration published Executive Order 14273, that includes a section on Access to Affordable Life-Saving Medications. Please read more on the Federal Register.
Participate in the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey
Each year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) invites selected health centers to participate in the National Ambulatory Medical Care Survey (NAMCS) Health Center Component. NAMCS results highlight the important work and needs of health centers. The survey provides detailed insight into ambulatory care at the level of individual visits — complementing the aggregate, health center-level information from UDS.
NAMCS data are confidential; public data are aggregated for confidentiality and all potentially identifiable information are removed to ensure the confidentiality of respondents and patients.
If your health center is invited, please contact CDC by email or phone (800-307-0134 or 301-458-4050) to confirm participation and continue to respond to emails and phone calls for further instructions. Participants may be eligible for compensation of up to $10,000 to help defray related expenses. Learn more on CDC’s website.
