National HIV Testing Day

Tuesday, June 27 is National HIV Testing Day. This day is an opportunity to encourage and emphasize the importance of HIV testing, which is essential to reducing HIV infections, improving health outcomes for people with HIV, and helping to end the HIV epidemic in the U.S.

This year’s theme is “Take the Test & Take the Next Step,” which emphasizes that knowing your HIV status helps you choose options to stay healthy. HIV testing, including self-testing, is the pathway to engaging people in care to keep them healthy, regardless of their test result. HRSA's Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program and Health Center Program recipients are committed to conducting HIV testing across the country, and connecting people to HIV care and treatment if they test positive.

Join our HAB You Heard Webinar on Thursday, June 29, 3-4 p.m. ET, during which we'll recognize National HIV Testing Day.

Our Health Workforce Connector, a free tool for connecting clinicians to job and training opportunities, is now easier to use.

New features simplify job searches by discipline and program, and an expanded display for health professional shortage areas (HPSAs) and other scores assists clinicians looking for qualifying positions.

HRSA-supported health centers, with approval status for our loan repayment and scholarship programs, can also create profiles making it easier for job seekers to find openings.
