Who May Be Considered: BPHC employees currently in a GS-13 or GS-14 position or Commissioned Corps in analogous positions
Background: OSBO’s purpose is to optimize the use of data, technology, and communications to advance operational excellence, enable data-driven decisions that maximize efficiency and impact, and support a shared understanding of the value of the Health Center Program. It is also leading development of the Bureau’s Customer Experience (CX) Program, which aims to promote the success of the Health Center Program by enhancing collaboration, knowledge sharing, and customer satisfaction.
This opportunity provides a lateral detail for staff at the GS-14 level, or a not-to-exceed 120-day temporary promotion opportunity for staff at the GS-13 level. The incumbent will revert to their original position after the detail or temporary promotion ends.
Duties:
- The detailee works closely with the Director and Deputy Director to provide leadership in terms of project management and subject matter expertise to the staff within the team and across other teams within the Office and the Bureau of Primary Health Care.
- Leads the team in identifying, distributing, and balancing workload and tasks among employees in accordance with established workflow, skill level and/or occupational specialization; making adjustments to accomplish the workload in accordance with established priorities to ensure timely accomplishment of assigned team tasks; and ensuring that each employee is clear about his/her role in developing the final team product.
- Articulate and communicate to the team the assignment, project, problem to be solved, actionable events, milestones, and/or program issues under review, set deadlines and time frames for completion.
