Yesterday, Administrator Johnson testified before the House of Representatives Energy & Commerce Subcommittee on Health about three vital HRSA programs. The Administrator spoke to the need to extend mandatory funding for the Health Center Program, the National Health Service Corps, and the Teaching Health Center Graduate Medical Education Program before the end of the fiscal year, as well as highlighted HRSA’s FY 24 Budget proposals. HRSA is now accepting applications for the Rural Communities Opioid Response Program – Child and Adolescent Behavioral Health. Approximately $9 million is available to increase the number of children and adolescents in rural areas who can receive behavioral health care and supportive services to prevent substance misuse in adulthood.
