National Prescription Drug Take Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs. It’s also an opportunity to educate your community about the potential for abuse of medications. This year, Drug Take Back Day takes place on Saturday, April 22. We encourage health centers to participate.

The Department of Justice’s drug disposal website includes resources for year-round pharmaceutical disposal, including for health care facilities. We’re watching their Take Back Day website for updates about this year’s observances.
