“For me, public service is my way of giving back. The past 15 years have allowed me to be part of the federal government’s investment in communities. My work within BPHC has shown me how we can affect change in communities like the one I grew up in. I feel honored to be part of the process and look forward to another 15.”

Zarinah Ali, Team Lead, OHCPM, Compliance Evaluation & Support
“This length of service anniversary signifies not only the amount of professional growth I’ve experienced since beginning my federal career, but also how honored I am serving our nation’s communities while working alongside stellar individuals supporting the mission of the Health Center Program.”
|
Miguel Greer, General Engineer, OCHIO, Infrastructure Improvement
“My 10-year length of service anniversary with HRSA represents opportunity and growth; and a continued realization that I am blessed and highly favored to be a part of this amazing team of people.”
|
Tia-Nicole Leak, Deputy Director, OPPD, Strategic Initiatives
“A stranger in a foreign land…that was the feeling I had when I first walked into 5600 Fishers Lane on February 10, 2013. After years of navigating academia, nonprofit community and global health settings, there seemed to be a whole new culture to learn: language, systems, processes…oh my! Yet there are so many amazing people I’m certain I would’ve never met. People who through our similarities and our differences have taught me so much about humanity and the meaning of true government service. So far, not a bad ride!”
|
La’Shelle Page, Team Lead, OHCPM, Health Center Engagement
“Ten years of federal service has meant an evolution in thinking and performance year over year. There is a constant charge to be better, smarter, more compassionate, and to raise the standards in our work and how we serve.”
|
Mark Pascu, Team Lead, OPPD, Ongoing Investments
“When I reflect back on my 10 years in federal service, what really stand out are the wonderful and dedicated people I worked with and the opportunity to positively impact the lives of everyday Americans.”
|
Meresa Stacy, Public Health Analyst, OQI, Quality
“As Jack London said, ‘I would rather be ashes than dust.’ I have always wanted to be part of the solution, influencing better health outcomes for people during all stages of life and creating a spark of fire. Through my 10 years of service, I hope there are ashes left as opposed to docile dust.”

Erika Terl, Deputy Director, OPPD, Strategic Initiatives
“I am a total public service nerd and keep my anniversary of federal employment on my family’s shared Google calendar. There is a non-zero chance that I created this yearly reminder on my first day of orientation! This length of service anniversary is an opportunity for me to reflect on how much I have learned and how appreciative I am to have had these experiences and challenges. It has been amazing to collaborate with co-workers who are both incredibly talented and super fun. I feel so privileged and grateful to be here at BPHC, and I am excited for what the next decade brings!”

We acknowledge BPHC employees’ federal length of service milestone anniversaries beginning with 10 years of service and every five additional years after that (15, 20, 25, 30, etc.).
This is 100% voluntary — you may opt-out if you prefer. If you are willing, we announce your milestone in a quarterly bulletin like this one (with an optional photo and quote) and at a BPHC All-Hands webcast.
This effort is separate from the length of service certificates that employees receive from HRSA.
If you have any questions about this initiative, please contact the BPHC Insider. If you have questions about your length of service anniversary, contact BPHCRecognition@hrsa.gov.
Congratulations again to everyone with milestone service anniversaries!
