Meet Laura Rumley, Public Health Analyst Trainee, Ongoing Investments, OPPD:

When did you join the Bureau of Primary Health Care? How does your current role contribute to the Health Center Program? October 11, 2022.
I work on the Look-alike Initial Designation Team. We handle look-alike applications from submission to designation.
What is one thing your co-workers would be surprised to learn about you, for example, a hidden talent? I sing on occasion with a jazz combo, mostly at community events.
When I was a kid, I wanted to be: Queen of the world. I still want that.
Where did you grow up and what do you like best about your hometown? I grew up in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, a third-ring suburb of St. Paul (the state capital). White Bear used to be a resort town for folks who lived in the Twin Cities and has an interesting history. F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife spent a summer or two there, and it was a hideout for gangsters in the 1930s.
What would be the title of your autobiography? “Laura Rumley: She had a lot of opinions.”
Learn more about Laura, and email BPHC Insider to submit your name for a future Getting to Know.
