“Thirty years went by so fast. It has been an honor to support programs impacting and improving the lives of the most vulnerable populations in many communities across our country. I have met so many wonderful people along the way, worked on important tasks, and made many contributions to the federal workforce. I’m very proud of myself for what I have accomplished over the years, and I am anxiously thinking about the possibility of retirement! I am deeply thankful for being a part of BPHC.”

Holly Schumann, Supervisory Management Analyst (Deputy Office Director), OSBO
“Thirty years ago, I thought I would work for the government for a couple of years—so much for my powers of prediction! I have been fortunate to have had so many interesting and challenging opportunities to help launch new programs and continue to improve existing ones, and I am especially grateful to have worked with and learned from a host of tremendously dedicated and capable public servants.”

Amy Harbaugh, Lead Public Health Analyst, Infrastructure Improvement, OHCIO
“It’s hard to believe that I’ve had 10 years of federal service. I’m grateful for the warmth and dedication of my colleagues at HRSA and for work that continues to be challenging, interesting, and fulfilling.”

Kemar Mapp, Lead Public Health Analyst, Program Data & High Risk Analysis, OHCPM
“My 10-year service anniversary tells me, WOW, 10 years goes by fast! From intern to project officer, from two different public health agencies to a few more gray hairs. Thousands of emails, and hundreds of calls, from a native reservation in Montana, to the territories of Guam and Micronesia. Ten years tells me to keep going for 20! Keep teaching as much as I can, keep opening doors for those who come after, and keep helping one more person than I did before.”

We acknowledge BPHC employees’ federal length of service milestone anniversaries beginning with 10 years of service and every five additional years after that (15, 20, 25, 30, etc.). We publish the names in a quarterly bulletin like this one and announce them in a BPHC All-Hands webcast.
This is 100% voluntary—you may opt-out if you prefer.
This effort is separate from the length of service certificates that employees receive from HRSA.
If you have any questions about this initiative, please contact the BPHC Insider. If you have questions about your length of service anniversary, contact BPHC HR.
Congratulations again to everyone with milestone service anniversaries!
