Dear Valued Provider,
We recently reached out to let you know of a temporary lapse in enrollment and claims processing in the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) COVID-19 Coverage Assistance Fund (CAF) as we update administrative and contract support. The lapse regarding new enrollments has taken effect, however CAF is still processing claims submitted by November 26, 2021.
Next Steps
We expect this interruption in processing to be temporary and encourage you to submit any outstanding claims by the November 26 deadline. Please continue to administer vaccines during this interruption. In accordance with program policy, CAF will continue to accept claims retroactively once processing resumes. Here are a few important things to keep in mind:
- CAF will consider claims retroactively for services provided on or after December 14, 2020.
- Providers SHOULD NOT delay the administration of vaccines during this temporary pause.
- This DOES NOT affect claims submitted to the HRSA COVID-19 Uninsured Program, which continues to reimburse eligible vaccine administration claims for the uninsured.
