What's New
Dear Colleagues,
This National Health Center Week we’re celebrating the important work and impact of health centers. This week is also about celebrating YOU—you are an invaluable part of health centers’ accomplishments! In response to the pandemic, you helped get health centers historic funding, provided key information and training, and developed tools and materials to make their communities safer. You often did this at an astounding pace—all while balancing personal challenges. You amaze me every single day!
If you haven’t yet, see the White House proclamation or statement by HHS Secretary Xavier Becerra.
When you watch this thank you video, you’ll see White House and HHS leaders thanking health centers. But I know—and you should, too—that their gratitude extends to all of you as critical partners in health center successes.
Sincerely, Jim
P.S. The Washington Post mentioned the great work by health centers, and the Health Center COVID-19 Vaccine Program, in an article earlier this week!
NEW: 2020 Uniform Data System Data Release In time for National Health Center Week, OQI’s Data and Evaluation Division (DED) released the 2020 Uniform Data System (UDS) data on health center patient demographics, services provided, clinical indicators, utilization rates, costs, and revenues. The data is now available on the Health Center Program Data and Reporting webpages at data.hrsa.gov. Access health center data profiles and comparisons (nationally and by state and territory), data on special populations, and more for calendar year 2020, as well as the previous four reporting years. BPHC staff can also access 2020 UDS data final reports through HRSA’s Electronic Handbooks (EHBs).

Staffing Transformation Following Patient-Centered Medical Home Recognition DED invites you and all BPHC stakeholders to join a Speaker Series webinar. Speakers will explore how Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) recognition by health centers has affected staffing capacity to deliver team-based integrated care. They will feature findings from a recent analysis of UDS, HRSA accreditation, and PCMH Recognition Initiative data to identify changes in health center staffing infrastructure.

Leaving BPHC? Before You Go… This is the seventh in a series of articles about improving BPHC’s records management performance.
Before leaving BPHC, you must transfer official federal records in your possession. Follow these steps to ensure a successful records transfer:
- Ask your supervisor or office records management point of contact who you should transfer your official federal records to.
- Once you know who that person is, send them an email listing all the links to your official records on shared drives or SharePoint to ensure they can access the files.
- After you’ve confirmed that the person taking over your files can access them, complete the transfer and ask your supervisor to sign the new Records Departure Form available on BPHC’s Records Management SharePoint page.
- Send the signed Records Departure Form to the HRSA Records Management Team.
Questions? Email your office’s records management point of contact or the BPHC Records Liaison Officer.

LGBTQ+ Definitions and HRSA Pronouns The Office of Civil Rights, Diversity and Inclusion (OCRDI), in partnership with the Office of Health Equity and HRSA Pride ERG, developed two new resources on LGBTQ+ definitions and pronoun use at HRSA:
-
LGBTQ+ Definitions: Designed to help HRSA staff become familiar with terms used by LGBTQ+ communities. The definitions are organized under three categories: LGBTQ+, Sexual Orientation, and Gender Identity.
-
HRSA Pronouns Tip Sheet: Includes best practices, examples, and resources to help HRSA staff learn about the importance of sharing pronouns and how to appropriately use pronouns to help create an inclusive environment for people of all gender identities and expressions.
Questions? Contact OCRDI.
