Application Deadline Extended for FY 2020 Capital Assistance for Disaster Response and Recovery Efforts (CADRE) Due to system issues, some applicants have experienced difficulties with submitting their CADRE applications in HRSA’s Electronic Handbooks (EHBs) by today’s deadline. To accommodate this issue, the deadlines for CADRE have been extended to the following:
-
Grants.gov on Friday, May 8 (11:59 p.m. ET)
- EHBs on Monday, May 11 (5:00 p.m. ET)
The CADRE funding opportunity will assist health centers located in areas where a major disaster or emergency has been declared under Section 401 or 501 of the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act (42 U.S.C. 5170 and 5191) for the disasters in 2018 and 2019.
Eligible applicants must be receiving Health Center Program operational grant funding at the time of application and at the time of award, and applicants must have at least one service delivery site within their approved health center scope of project located in a disaster-impacted area.
The CADRE technical assistance (TA) webpage has many resources, including the Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), a pre-recorded application assistance webinar, and details about the upcoming Q&A session for applicants.

COVID-19 Dental Clinic Reopening Listening Sessions
As many states lift stay-at-home orders for COVID-19, dental clinics are preparing to reopen and resume non-emergency dental services. The National Network for Oral Health Access (NNOHA), a HRSA-funded NCA, is hosting listening sessions to give health center dental programs the opportunity to have an open discussion with colleagues. Participants can listen and share plans and strategies on reopening dental clinics with their peers.
NNOHA is also hosting a webinar on teledentistry during COVID-19 next Tuesday, May 12.
