We continually update our Health Center Program COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) webpage.
- We recently revised a question to reflect updated guidance on the reimbursement methodology for distant site telehealth visits under Medicare.
- We also added this question: What economic relief options are available beyond Health Center Program funding to address health center payroll, revenue, and other financial concerns due to the COVID-19 public health emergency?
- We created a separate page for NEW funding FAQs. We’ll continue to expand it over time and will let you know as we make additions.

New COVID-19 Survey Data and Questions
Yesterday, we published the latest health center and look-alike data online. The survey we’ll send out today will include new questions that address emerging areas of interest:

Racial/ethnic disparities: National trends indicate differences in testing and morbidity in racial/ethnic minorities. As the Health Center Program aims to reduce health disparities, we would like to examine these differences relating to COVID-19.

Lab processing times: Testing is a key component in the White House’s Guidelines for Opening Up America Again. We’d like to better understand how testing impacts health centers and patients.

COVID-19 Claims Reimbursement for Testing and Treatment to Health Care Providers and Facilities Serving the Uninsured
As part of recent legislation, HHS will provide claims reimbursement to health care providers generally at Medicare rates for testing uninsured patients for COVID-19 and treating uninsured patients with a COVID-19 diagnosis. Learn more.
